The objective of this study was to learn about the fundamental aspects of art from the traditional folk Isan mural painting or hoop tam. Using a quality research approach, the narrative of Vessantara Jataka in the middle northeastern region, which was built by local craftsmen before 1957. Interviews and surveys can be used to gather information to bring analysis from the target group involved in the Isan mural painting event and look for characteristics that could lead to the idea of incorporating current concepts, methods, media, and materials into the creation of contemporary Isan painting titled Phra Vessantara Jataka, as well as developing a theory of knowledge and guidelines for those interested in creating creative works of art. 

The story of Vessantara Jataka in a case study group was discovered to have the essential ingredients of art from the local wisdom of Isan mural painting. It has a simple design with an expressive aesthetic. It's simple, it's free, there's no scheduling, no rules, and it's not complicated. as a hallmark of the folk art's originality. 

In terms of the evolution of art forms and composition, it was discovered that the picture's composition was similar to the narrative in which the main character was the focal point. Interpolation is used to enhance the picture by combining pictures of the villagers' way of life. 

In terms of creativity, it was discovered that combining traditional folk patterns into creative exploration, can be further expanded to produce developmental aspects in many areas, and can, in principle, lead to the creation of contemporary Isan mural painting works. 

In terms of developing a body of knowledge and principles for making works, it was discovered that the creative explorations started off with a traditional Isan folk style. will be able to build a type of employment that is both environmentally friendly and advanced in nature.
